The rural areas of Charleston County deserve the same level of professional service from the

Sheriff’s Office, as provided by other law enforcement agencies in their respective

municipalities. My eleven-year experience as a Special Deputy United States Marshal taught me

the importance of working in a collaborative effort with other law enforcement agencies

to combat crime.

Foot patrols will be implemented in the rural parts of Charleston County, as well as other

areas under other the Sheriff’s office jurisdiction, with a specific focus during school hours.

To enhance public safety in rural areas, I propose the deployment of neighborhood resource

deputies to address the needs of the rural areas of the county.

By leveraging crime data analysis, we can identify high-crime areas and conduct targeted

investigative sweeps to address crime. This proactive approach aims to enhance the community

well-being and maintain a safe environment for all citizens.

We are committed to working closely with municipal law enforcement and neighborhood crime

watch associations to effectively combat crime.
